The summer may be officially over according to the
moon but we all know that we've got some warm weather
yet to wade through. So get a sunburn while you can....
When summer ends so does the Better Days Outside
Cafe. This Saturday September 27th will be our last day
serving tables outside although we will leave a few up for
sitting till the snow flies. I'd like to thank the public for not
destroying any of our furniture or foliage this year.... it
helps make it the coolest cafe in town.
The music at the pub this weekend will be diverse to say
the least. On Friday we have "Raising Cain" back again
to hit us with some hard rock. Then on Saturday we
welcome back "The Country Gold Show", led by local
crooner Hum Johnson. Country isn't to popular in our
pub but we can't not put a true legend like The Hummer
on the schedule....if just for the novelty alone....wear
your boots and cowboy hat and get in free!!! Yee Haw

I attended my first Democratic fundraiser ever last week at a friends house in support
of Eric Massa who is running for our House of Represenatives seat this fall. Don't worry
I'm not turning Democrat!!! Most of what Eric had to say I fundamentally disagree with
and really wish his nearly socialist views weren't viable. Sadly our goverment has
screwed up the situation to the point that we have to acknowledge reality. This week is
a perfect example of how far we are from being a free market capitalist system. Absent
the goverment intervention we are looking at economic disaster and the end result will
be the socialization of the banking industry. A true failure of our economic dream but its
the only way to avoid economic collapse. The healthcare system is just as messed up,
our currency is greatly devalued, and our foriegn policy seems to have leading us to a
Vietnamish era.
Eric is hoping to get down to Washington for a few years and try and keep the ship
from sinking. He seems to have some real well thought out ideas and a practical
attitude about being in Congress. I'm not about to endorse a Democrat...things aren't
that bad yet in my world, but I hope you will take the time to learn what his position is
