The Better Days staff just let out of a semi-regular group meeting
to get the ship ready for the warm weather season. We had alot
to talk about since the latest version of our menu will be in
circulation soon and believe me that is a bigger job than it may
seem. Thanks to the push from Dan Martelle I have the online
version of this menu almost finished. Stay tuned for the grand
unvieling of this digital masterpiece.
Captain Jack's Booze Band played to a packed house on
Saturday and I am sad to say that I didn't get a chance enjoy it
between the voracious crowd and Sheriff Denny's first harsh
encounter. Perhaps an introduction is necessary because
Denny Lee is just starting out filling our "sheriff" position after
several sheriff's that didn't obey the authority. That being me,
the sheriff is a direct representative of me and has the
responsibility of handling things as he knows I would. He is just
getting started and just finding out that this job can require some
danger. This Saturday he encountered a real rough customer
who was very drunk and mad about the cover charge for the
band. Long story short I made an emergency run to find the
Sheriff being taken to task and a handful of dudes keeping him
from being beaten unmercifully. The situation took some
negotiating to be resolved and Sheriff Denny knows that it isn't
all fun and games when you work for drunk people.
THIS FRIDAY Fresh from JazzFest... "Sanduleak" My favorite area band will be at the pub kickin out the cosmic jams. These guys really are great and if you enjoy the funky'r side of rock n roll you will love these dudes.....
