The song that is playing as you read this (if you have audio capabilities) is by a band called "Outerloop".  A fella by
the name Charles Fuller who I grew up with on Oak Street is the songwriter, singer, and lead guitar player.  He threw
me this CD when he was last in town and I was impressed since the last time I heard Charley sing it was labored to put
in nicely.  Personally the music sounds pretty darn good to me..... congrats Charley and band!!!
"Toucan Jam" had a good debut show on Friday
night and since it wasn't all that busy you may
have missed it.  For a two piece they were pretty
tight and played guitar, harmonica, and keyboard
all at once.  And Buzzo thinks he's so cool playing
two trumpets......
They played a wide range of music but I would
charactarize the bulk of it as soft rock/folk.  Might
be a little bit mellow for the likes of Johnny Lynch
who likes to get the girls dancing on a Friday night.
Talking music I've got two slices of news:
first
we have confirmed that "Those Rusty Strings" will
be our New Years entertainment again this year.
That just tickles me silly because they are my
personal favorite because they play lots of acid
rock - Neil Young, Grateful Dead kinda stuff.  So
with the new psychadelic holiday light display
installed we will have another 'Cosmic New Years'.
Second I finally got two local up and coming rock
and roll stars to book a date.  Brian Richardson
and John Laforge are kicking out the jams at
Better Days Saturday December 29th.  Mark your
calendars and support local live music!!!

Whiskey rock, country, reggae, jam rock, Americana.
Catchy choruses and melodies backed up by solid guitar
work, harmonies and a sense of roots.
