Met "The Captain". Most of you know him as Pat McKinley but we've created a new persona, and job,
for "The Captain". About three months ago Andrew made a mistake and the law took away his driver's
license as punishment for driving while intoxicated. Being without wheels for six months posed a big
problem for Andrew because he lives in the woods, almost ten miles from Better Days. So one day while
walking down the street Andrew and Pat met and struck a deal. Every day The Captain picks Andrew up
from the woods, and every night he takes him back to the woods. Somedays he runs him around on
errands or some other official business. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights "The Captain" is on
the clock serving our customers with "Free Rides Home". Anyone who has had too much to drink and
needs a ride, Pat is ready to help out and give them a lift. Please tip well.
"The Captain" is a title that needs some explaining. The Better Days Mobile, aka The BUZZO Mobile,
aka The Mystery Ship, is a 1999 GMC Yukon. This is the vehicle Andrew used to drive but at the state's
request he won't be driving it for a while. So we hired Pat the take over the helm of this mighty machine
and thought it appropriate to give him a title. Every great vessel has a great man behind her and in that
tradition we are happy to have Pat behind the wheel. So when you see "The Captain" salute and say
