Greetings earthlings! News from space is highlighted by this weekends SesquiJam, a block
party celebrating Wellsville's 150th Birthday by taking the party to the streets and enjoying
some of the best rock n roll of the day with the "NOISEGODS". This street party is little
different, little louder, and little later that normal. It's a party to celebrate the energy and
culture of our generation, the ones who are taking over. When I say we I am lumping
everyone from 21 to 40 into the group of what some call Generation X. We are a large part
of this communities population and we are already running the show and plan to take
control of the whole scene slowly but surely. This group of people includes college
students and the parents of the next generation, local business owners and public
servants. A common thread for alot of us is kicking up our heels and having a good time,
which mostly consists of drinking and listening to loud music. The Noisegods are a great
local band that can blast out the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Metallica,
and some more modern stuff like Godsmack and Drowning Pool. The crank out a loud
hard rock sound that is essential to the survival of my generation. We hope to see you
there to enjoy the party and help us support the David A Howe Library Restoration Fund.
Gates open around 6pm, Fireworks show at dusk, then the music begins and you'll be able
to hear it from Scio....
Here is a pic of Captain Jack performing at our last street party..... He and his Blues band will be at Better Days this Friday to kick off the weekend.......u don't want to miss Jack
