The new year is especially "new" for me and my family after just moving from our home of twenty two years. Last night we had a delicious last family dinner, packed up and last few things, and turned the place over to a new family. We've relocated, the location being quite secret for security reasons, and I am now broadcasting my gibberish in a new space. Hopefully the new space will kickstart my blogger as I'm sure the regular visitors have noticed i'm slowing down. You can mostly blame my new lucrative position blogging for the Daily Reporter....legitimate writing takes alot more time then blogging about bar room antics. Take Garwood out of my war chest and my writing goes south in a hurry!!!
The New World Headquarters is happy to announce the recent arrival of two young men adopted from the SPCA. Ziggy is a classic tiger and Melville is an orange tiger, both boys and they have been kennel mates since birth. They are mostly all jacked up on catnip or following the dogs around trying to smell each others butts. A total of sixteen pets makes the place more and more interesting!! Stay tuned for photos of the kittens!!!!
We kick off the years live music calendar this Saturday with a very special performance by "the Mysterious Blues Band". This year we are going to try and partner our live music events with important fund raisers and our first will benefit the Susan G Komen for the Cure fund. This charity focuses on breast cancer awareness and research and uses the famous "Save the Boobies" slogan for fund raising. So this Saturday we will be collecting five dollars at the door, of which half will go directly to the charity. We hope to have t-shirts for sale as well and will be encouraging additional donations. Let me know what you think about this approach and if increasing our cover charge in order to raise money is a good idea or out of line.
