Since the Pastime was ruthlessly destroyed by the auto industry(who got theirs), Hum
Johnson, aka The Hummer, has made Better Days his home away from home. As a
livelong country music performer The Hummer has made a name for himself from South
Main Street to Branson Missouri. Now he's setting his sights on a bigger stage and he
needs our help. America's Got Talent is a hit TV show that showcases the best of our
nations talent. Hum is headed to New York City in late October to show his stuff:
"I've watched this whole last season of the show and those people are terrible, no
vocal ability, can't play guitar...just horrible. I'm sure I can get in the top ten and maybe
even win the whole she-bang".
So Sunday October 4th, in the spirit and smoke of the Pastime Bar, Better Days will host
a fund raiser for Hum to get to NYC to strut his stuff.... Several bands will perform, drinks
will be cheap, prizes, gypies, sidesteppers, hellraisin hootinanny.... Mark your calendars
