Robert Mitchell once reported that a 'wind sheer' had done considerable tree damage on his now long gone property
in Riverview Hieghts. "Andrew I sat on my back porch and watched that little funnel cloud tear up the river and take a
ninety degree turn on my place. Eighty foot cherry trees being whipped around like a hay field, debris everywhere... I
even found fish in my yard, apparently sucked up via a waterspout and dropped outta the sky like the god damn
Wizard of Oz." I was skeptical and went to his house to inspect while repossessing some assets to cover bad checks
and was amazed at the damage. With little damage around him, Mitchell's back yard lost some big trees. Well today I
met the same force of nature at the ranch. Shortly after a warning from Mom that a severe storm was approaching I
could see nearby trees being bent near breaking and within a few seconds all hell broke loose. As several trees
started falling and the wind was unbelievably still getting stronger we got off the porch for safety's sake. Moments later
three sixty foot aspen trees were uprooted, one totally blocking the driveway. The sunflower garden is dusted, tomato
plants down, and Dixie is still hiding in the bathroom!!!

To give you an idea of the wind force....the pine tree on the left was broken in half and the top piece on the right landed seventy feet away!!!
