The party Saturday with the SPCA, "Stepping Stone", and "The Mysterious Blues Band" had
about 300 revelers attending.  Lucy the Goat was a big hit as you can see by the
pictures of the
party and the live music was good and loud!!  Of course the drama is the most memorable thing
at every party however unfortunate the drama was.  Luckily this party's drama was before to
many people were there and it ended with the bad guys getting hauled off in cop cars.  Here is
the story as best as I can recollect;

It's about six thirty and the SPCA had just finished getting set up, the band was playing.  Some
family's and early birds were there to make sure they could avoid the wilder side of life.  Just
goes to show ya never know cause very suddenly a violent fist fight broke out in the middle of the
street!!!  Apparently a passenger in a vehicle parked on the street and a fellow masquerading as a
SPCA volunteer were exchanging verbals and visuals.  Before too long it was 'fist city' in the
middle of main street that gravitated back toward the bar, crashed into the SPCA table and into
the arms of He-Man...literally.  Larry Opiela broke the fight up only to have round two start up
and lots of nasty yelling until the police arrived.  At that point the vagrants were efficiently
rounded up and taken downtown for justice.  Several family's fled the scene, many innocent
young lady's had to listen to nasty adult language, and the goat was nearly injured.  It always
baffles me when people disrespect every other living thing around then just so they can hurt each
other.  It makes me wish I had a Star Trek phaser gun to just make them.....go away.

So that's that story.... the rest of the night was uneventful in comparison and although kinda
chilly for August it was a good night for a party in the street!!!  Thank you to SPCA for being a
great partner, Middaugh Reality for some back up electric, The Village of Wellsville, The
Wellsville Dept of Public Works, and Wellsville Police Department.  The Music on the Lawn group
allowed us to use the stage, although it was rendered unusable by some hoodlums that
displaced a section for a skateboard jump.  Despite the few snaggles it was a good party!!!
