The most important holiday of the year for Better Days is almost here so I posted a few pics of years gone by to get you in the mood. Shaun and Mike have already reserved there table, we have a band full of fiddle tunes, the best traditional Irish dinner in town and the world, and of course Guinness and Smithwick's on tap!!! After dinner the annual Irish Carbomb contest will take place and we will see if reigning champion Todd B can hold his title. Sheriff Denny has flatly stated that he will defeat the champ this year and has his chugging down to under two seconds and with no dribble. And that is the way to become champion...as Denny found out last year when he thought he'd won but the dribble did him in. 10pm..... $10 entry, Winner takes all.....
FuNk NuT was a good time on friday night and Tony G. delivered..... a unique three piece band that did alot of obscure 80's tunes...even a Nine inch Nails cover on request. Personally I am still not recovered from the party and have learned a valuable lesson....don't run out of Wild Turkey. It's the only alcoholic beverage that I drink in quantity because it is so pure and delicious. Fermented grains that are aged in light oak and filtered via limestone. Many members of the whiskey family age in darker oak casks and filter with carcoal or carbon. Carbon is what creates a hangover and headache, Wild Turkey is limestone filtered thus largely carbon free. Well I ran out of this sweet American made tea and supplemented with Riesling. Now the other side of the hangover, sugar, comes into play. A sloppy drunk, a sour stomach, and very long day after is what sweet wine does for ya. Wild Turkey is also free of sugar which further supports my loyalty and determination to never run out again. I love you Wild Turkey!!!
