We are getting alot of inquisitive inquiries about Hum Johnson's "Country Gold Show" scheduled for this
Thursday night. I say 'scheduled' because Hum Johnson, AKA "The Hummer", is a real good ole drunken
cowboy singer who could pull a no show anytime. But he's pretty excited about this gig so I bet money he
shows up and sings his ass off.
The Hummer is well known to our areas country music scene as he performs at alot of jamborees and
benefits at local VFW's and American Legion Halls. I've seen him a few times this year and he is well worth
seeing, even if you don't like country music. Now his show consists of lots of classic country music: Merle
Haggard, Bob Wills, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline. He also has some original stuff that is pretty good in my
opinion. It's a one man show, Hum on the guitar backed by a rhythm machine which provides drums and bass
for a good old country beat. "The Hummer" just turns on his machine, picks the right rhythm and plays
everyone a country song. The music is pretty good but the novelty is what you have to see. I may be crazy
but I'm pretty sure you can't find this kind of one man, classic country show starring an ole barfly named Hum
anywhere this side of the Mason Dixon Line. Hope to see you there....wear a cowboy hat and get a free
drink!!!!
The mouse in my house continued to visit my pillow and I've decided not to destroy him or let him continue to
hang out on and in my bed. I will capture him and tame him. He'll have the best of everything....cheese,
sunflower seeds, fresh water......whatever a mouse would want. I'll keep you posted and once I get him caged
we will have to have a name so put your thinking cap on.
A note about Verizon Wireless and there in ability to provide the hardware and software that is necessary to
use the phone. Absolving Wireless World and Tonya Montana in Wellsville of all responsibility I have to point
the finger at Verizon Inc. The people I have talked to "don't know why there isn't a software package for the
camera phone". This is unacceptable. They told me that they would text message me the number I should call
to discuss the matter with the phone manufacture. They didn't send the message. I'm an unsatisfied customer
and if they don't shape up I'll.........I'll do something....not sure yet. Keep ya posted.
