Nearly seven months to the date of breaking ground at the New World Headquarters we
have been attached to the electric grid. At about one in the afternoon yesterday a
National Grid foreman knocked on the door and announced the inevitable was reality.
You may be thinking 'oh ya he must be glad to finally have electric'....I'm thinking "holy
shit now what the hell I am going to with myself!'. It creates alot of choices that weren't
an option and ends my ability to blame almost every instance of laziness on lack of light.
I'll let you know how I cope.
As if all that change wasn't enough to manage I got a letter of approval from the DMV
which puts me back on the road again. So now that I can drive I really have a new lease
on life which goes along with some serious responsibility. NYS law dictates that a
second DWI conviction within a ten year period results in an automatic felony charge.
You can't hold a liquor license in NYS with a felony record, you can't vote, you can't
have guns, and it costs a fortune. So basically I can't have more than one light drink
and drive anywhere without risking alot more than I am willing to risk. So needless to say
The Captain will still be carting me around plenty as I am a drinking man and have no
intentions on quitting. So watch out..."natural born easy's on the road again...."
