Dave made it through X-Mas without a scratch and is poised for the New Year. He
was going to California for a Garwood brothers reunion but decided he would
rather stay in Wellsville to enjoy the stinging cold weather. Only the second
installment of the Garwood Chronicles and we've already got a prophetic
proclamation from Dave, concerning the massive tsunami that ravaged SE Asia.
"God has struck the world with this tidal wave of devastation in order to bring
attention to the poor and homeless in the world"
Dave served his country in Vietnam as a Spec 4 in the US Army. He was
drafted and just months out of high school Dave went of to do his duty. During his
tour of duty Dave had some good times to recall and some bad times. He walked
point when his platoon was on patrol and he knew how many had walked point
before he did and died. Dave's tour ended when his platoon was hit hard and his
base camp overrun by the enemy. He's lucky to be alive for us to thank for his
bravery and sacrifice.
